Humans are from the ape family and we are pretty special, some might say sacred. Yes we have our faults and the world can seem a little crazy if you get stuck in an internet doom scroll. But here at Sacred Ape, we experience love, family and that the sacred bonds connecting us at every photoshoot. This is beyond special, it is sacred.

The Team

Phil - Having shot over 100 weddings in Australia, New Zealand, The Pacific Islands and the UK, Phil heads up the team here at Sacred Ape. He has been a judge of professionals photographer’s work with the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers, The Iris Awards, The Asia Pacific Photography Competition, as well as for amateur competitions with Canon and the PSNZ. He has a masters degree in photography with the work printed in the British Journal of photography as well as shown in solo and collaborative shows. He also gained the NZIPP award of Master with Distinction after years entering wedding and portrait work into their Iris awards.

He obviously knows his stuff and still personally attends all our weddings whilst developing the team. Sacred Ape is his brain child, honouring the beauty and connection of family, love and connections we experience as sacred-apes!
